White Urban Design is the practice of Clynt White, an art and design consultant who builds art into public infrastructure. Working alongside local council and iwi, the studio turns everyday structures, shade canopies, walkways and noise walls, into work that carries meaning and lasts. One consultant manages the whole chain: design, materials, structure and fabrication.

We believe in local solutions. We make our home in the Auckland, Waikato and Northland regions and partner with local designers where opportunities arise further afield. And we design for the long term, staying engaged from first conversation to long-term stewardship.

A foundation across disciplines

Residential to regional

We leverage a foundation in landscape architecture, urban design, fine art and ecology. That breadth lets us move from the detail of a single garden to the framework of a whole town centre without losing the thread that ties them together: the relationship between people and place.
